Recently, the POWEROAD Energy Storage Safety Joint Research Center, jointly established by POWEROAD and the China Academy of Building Research Fire Institute, a national-level fire safety research institution, was officially inaugurated at the POWEROAD Xiamen Manufacturing Center. Moving forward, the center will focus on technological innovation in energy storage safety and fire protection empirical testing, aiming to build a comprehensive safety system for the entire lifecycle of energy storage systems and establish a solid safety foundation for the large-scale application of energy storage.
The China Academy of Building Research Fire Institute is the largest professional research institution in China’s construction industry specializing in building fire protection. It has undertaken numerous national key research projects and has made significant contributions to technological research and development, standard formulation, and full-scale fire testing in the field of building fire protection, playing a vital role in advancing fire safety reforms in the construction sector.
In August 2024, POWEROAD and the China Academy of Building Research Fire Institute joined forces to establish the Energy Storage Safety Joint Research Center, engaging in industry-academia-research collaboration in project development, empirical testing, and market promotion. Together, they aim to advance technological innovation and enhance safety standards in the energy storage industry. Since its establishment, POWEROAD has invested significant resources in the center, conducting continuous energy storage safety testing to develop a comprehensive safety system for the entire lifecycle of energy storage systems, ensuring the protection of customers and surrounding communities.
It is worth mentioning that last year, Henry Hao, the founder of POWEROAD was selected as an expert in the national high-level think tank for the building fire protection industry.
