At the site of the Mount Everest Base Camp, the need for a reliable energy supply is paramount for facilitating scientific activities. Situated at an altitude of 5200 meters, this extreme environment presents numerous challenges, including harsh weather conditions, limited access to traditional power sources, and the need for continuous energy to power research activities. POWEROAD’s ESS makes its way to Mount Everest Base Camp. With a robust capacity of 559.1 kWh, POWEROAD’s FLEX 215 Air Cooling Outdoor Cabinets ensure uninterrupted power supply for scientific activities at Mount Everest for at least 24 hours. This project marks the first-ever electrochemical storage endeavor above 5200 meters, both in China and globally.
