Context
As energy prices rise and grid reliability becomes increasingly fragile, energy is emerging as a defining factor in commercial real estate. Building owners are shifting from passive energy consumers to active energy asset operators. By deploying onsite solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS), commercial buildings can reduce operating expenses, improve tenant attraction, and unlock new revenue through energy trading. Rising energy costs were a growing burden, but an even greater concern for property owners and tenants was declining grid reliability. Many users increasingly depend on higher electrical loads, such as expanding electrified fleets, yet existing grid capacity often cannot keep up. In such scenarios, power disruptions can cause significant operational and safety risks.
Soluție
The project deployed POWEROAD’s FLEX 215 modular BESS, achieving 875kW / 3.44MWh of total storage capacity, paired with a 350 kWp rooftop PV system.
