From September 26 to 28, the SOLAR Pakistan 2024 exhibition, the largest and most professional solar event in Pakistan, took place at the Karachi Expo Centre. Supported by the Pakistani government, the exhibition is highly influential in the power and energy sectors of Pakistan and South Asia.

Since early 2024, Pakistan has emerged as a promising market for residential PV+ESS. This boom is closely linked to the country’s fragile power infrastructure, which frequently experiences blackouts due to insufficient generation capacity and an aging, inefficient transmission and distribution network. Power outages are particularly common during the summer peak demand season. Another driving factor is Pakistan’s relatively high electricity prices, prompting households and businesses to seek cheaper alternatives.
