Kontekst
A Norwegian construction company, specializes in groundworks, demolition, transport, infrastructure, and landscape design across a wide range of terrain and environmental conditions, sought to enhance the sustainability of its operations. With growing attention on environmental impact, the company aimed to leverage renewable energy for EV charging while minimizing peak demand costs and reducing CO₂ emissions.
Wyzwanie
As the demand for fleet electrification increases, businesses require efficient and affordable charging solutions. The company launched a depot charging station to support its electric heavy-duty vehicles. However, high grid tariffs, volatile electricity prices, and limitations of the local grid infrastructure made it difficult to operate the station cost-effectively and sustainably.
Rozwiązanie
POWEROAD delivered FLEX 215 all-in-one battery systems tailored to the company’s needs. The solution includes:
- FLEX 215 all-in-one air cooling system magazynowania energiis (200 kW / 430 kWh)
- Four EV charging points for fast charging
- 119 kWp rooftop solar system
- Smart energy management systemto optimize energy flow and usage
This setup enables the company to store excess solar energy and use it to charge vehicles, reducing dependence on the grid and maximizing solar utilization.

Project Value
The integrated battery energy storage system FLEX 215 AIO allows the depot to:
- Maximize solar self-consumption
- Minimize peak demand charges
- Support the local gridduring high-demand periods
- Sell excess energyto neighboring facilities in the industrial area
The solution helps avoid costly grid tariffs and ensures that self-generated renewable electricity directly powers the company’s EV fleet. With smart energy management in place, the project not only improves energy efficiency and resilience, but also create new revenue opportunities — it’s not just saving money, but also making it.
