Shanghang, a small city in southeastern China, enjoys abundant rainfall during the wet seasons (February to April and June to August), creating rich rainwater resources that generate substantial hydropower. This natural advantage easily meets the region’s electricity needs during most of the year.

However, as the dry season sets in, the balance shifts, and the grid struggles: during peak hours, up to 10 MW of additional electricity is required to maintain stable operations. To support Shanghang’s critical local power station during these demanding periods, a more flexible and efficient energy solution was urgently needed—one that could balance supply and demand across all conditions.

To address the challenge at Shanghang’s critical local power station, POWEROAD features an innovative energy solution that seamlessly integrates “power supply, grid, load, and energy storage” into a comprehensive energy system: A 5 MWh 40ft air cooling sistema di accumulo di energia in container and a 2.5MW all-in-one inverter & HV transformer system.

Utilizing a 2-charge, 2-discharge strategy, it reduces peak loads by storing energy during off-peak hours and discharging it during high-demand periods, lowering demand charges, and ensuring a reliable power supply.
✅ Backup Power:
This system can also function as a backup power, reducing the need for UPS investment and diesel generator costs. It ensures a stable and uninterrupted power supply against sudden power outages.

Since the project launched in August 2023, the system continues to perform with ZERO accidents, and the temperature difference of cells in one module can be controlled within 4-6℃ steadily.
