A leading engine lubricants manufacturer in Vietnam is committed to setting a new benchmark for sustainable production practices. With an ambitious goal to power its operations with 100% clean energy, the company sought an innovative solution to optimize renewable energy use and reduce its carbon footprint. This vision led to the development of Vietnam’s first industrial PV+ESS project, a groundbreaking initiative in the country’s renewable energy landscape.
● Kihívás:
The key challenge for the manufacturer was to achieve a high level of energy self-sufficiency while managing the fluctuating energy demands of its manufacturing facility. As one of the first industrial applications of its kind in Vietnam, the project required a robust energy storage system that could store excess solar power generated during the day and ensure reliable energy supply during peak demand periods.
● Megoldás:
The project features a 284.35 kWp rooftop solar PV system paired with a 215 kWh POWEROAD FLEX 215 Air Cooling Outdoor Cabinet Energy Storage System (ESS). This integration of photovoltaic (PV) and energy storage technologies enables the manufacturer to maximize solar self-consumption and achieve substantial peak shaving, reducing dependency on the grid and lowering energy costs.
This landmark project not only signifies a major step forward in the manufacturer’s journey towards carbon-free manufacturing but also sets a precedent for industrial applications of PV+ESS solutions in Vietnam.
