Background:

As the demand for renewable energy grows, a leading photovoltaic (PV) panel production factory in Lithuania is taking proactive steps to enhance energy efficiency and sustainability. The factory sought a solution to optimize solar energy utilization while supporting its operations, including an on-site EV charging station.

 

Challenges:

  1. Maximizing Solar Utilization – The factory generates a significant amount of solar energy, but without proper energy storage, a portion of this power goes unused or is fed back to the grid at lower rates.
  2. Managing Energy Costs – High energy demand during peak hours resulted in increased electricity costs. The company needed a way to shift energy consumption to off-peak hours to reduce expenses.
  3. Grid Stability & Demand Management – The integration of an EV charging station alongside the factory’s operations created fluctuating energy demands, requiring a stable and efficient power supply.

 

Solution:

To address these challenges, POWEROAD provided the CENTRIC-L20 (20FT Containerized BESS) with a capacity of 1000kW / 2580kWh at the facility. This advanced energy storage solution enables the factory to:
