Italy’s transition to renewable energy highlights the increasing significance of energy storage in the commercial and industrial sectors, which collectively consume more than half of the nation’s electricity and are contending with escalating energy costs. By 2030, Italy aims to reach between 7.5GW and 8.5 GW of energy storage capacity under the National Energy and Climate Plan (PNIEC).
