POWEROAD’s Shanghang Manufacturing Center, designed to produce 6GWh of lithium battery energy storage systems annually, is nearing completion with significant progress in its construction. The basic infrastructure of the Phase I project has passed joint inspections, and approximately 75% of the secondary decoration and electromechanical installations have been completed. The facility is expected to be ready for trial production by August 30, with full-scale production anticipated by mid-October.
The automated production line in the module workshop has been installed and is undergoing final adjustments. It is projected that the production line will commence trial production by August 30. As key equipment such as tooling fixtures and testing instruments are gradually put in place, the production line is expected to meet full production requirements by mid-October.
In October 2022, POWEROAD, in partnership with Longking Environmental, a subsidiary of Zijin Mining Group, launched the 6GWh lithium battery energy storage system project, known as the POWEROAD Shanghang Manufacturing Center, which officially began construction on July 31, 2023.
This project is a key initiative for Fujian Province, with a total investment of approximately 1.2 billion RMB and covering an area of around 120 acres. The project will be developed in three phases, with full production capacity expected by 2026. Upon completion of the first phase, the facility is expected to meet the production demands of 1GWh of energy storage systems. The successful implementation of this project will enable POWEROAD to strengthen its position across the entire industry chain, attract advantageous resources, and achieve full industry chain integration. This will lead to significant advancements in expanding production capacity, optimizing quality, and fostering innovation. This strategic upgrade marks a new phase in the company’s development and growth trajectory.
