As the summer heat begins to settle in Shanghang County’s Lincheng Town, workers at the POWEROAD Shanghang Intelligent Manufacturing Center are diligently completing the final tasks of the project’s Phase I. The steady progress indicates that the completion of this phase is imminent.
This Manufacturing Center is focused on developing a 6GWh lithium battery energy storage system project, which officially commenced construction on July 31, 2023.
The project emphasizes quality and safety alongside efficiency and speed. In less than a year, rapid and continuous efforts have led to significant breakthroughs. The main structure of the Phase I project, the No. 5 comprehensive workshop, as well as supporting facilities including the No. 7 fire pump room and water pool, and the No. 8 guardhouse and power distribution room, have been completed and are now undergoing final inspections. Subsequent stages of installation, equipment setup, and trial production will follow shortly.
The Shanghang Intelligent Manufacturing Center, funded by POWEROAD, is a key project in Fujian Province with a total investment of approximately 1.2 billion CNY, covering an area of about 120 acres. The project is divided into three phases, with full production expected by 2026. Upon completion of Phase I, the facility is anticipated to meet the production needs of 1GWh energy storage systems, generating an annual output value of approximately 800 million CNY. Once the entire 6GWh project is operational, it is expected to achieve an annual output value of 4 billion RMB and create around 150 local jobs.
The successful implementation of this project will enable POWEROAD to streamline its supply chain, attract valuable resources, and achieve integrated development across the entire industry chain, thereby advancing efficient and intensive production.
